Wilson Eighth At Utica-Rome, Second At Tri-City; All Star Michigan Double On Deck

Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / GREG WILSON RACING – BENTON RIDGE, OH – In all, a productive weekend through New York and Pennsylvania for Greg Wilson and Greg Wilson Racing, not only capping their three-race agenda with a runner-up finish at Tri-City Raceway Park in Franklin, Pennsylvania, on Sunday, August 20, but ultimately highlighting their weekend triple with at top-ten against the All Star Circuit of Champions at Utica-Rome Speedway in Vernon, New York, on Saturday, August 19.

Wilson, a former two-time Series champion with “America’s Series” and ace of the Hercules Tires, DNC Hydraulics, Ohio Logistics Warehousing and Transportation, No. W20 sprint car, finished eighth in the $10,000-to-win Utica-Rome visit, maintaining his place within the top-ten after starting in the exact same position. The Benton Ridge, Ohio, native kicked-off the program with the 13th-quickest time of 24 entries, racing on to finish second in his respective heat race.

Activating the weekend in Empire State, as well, Wilson finished 13th with the All Star Circuit of Champions at Outlaw Speedway in Dundee, New York, on Friday, August 18; he advanced five positions from 18th.

“I’m very proud of our efforts this weekend. In all, a fun and consistent trip and we’re ready to do it again,” Wilson explained. “The plan is to join the All Stars again on Friday and Saturday through Michigan. We had some success there just recently so the goal is to do it again.”
