Chris Andrews’ Set For Attica / Fremont Championship Series Weekend

Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / CHRIS ANDREWS RACING – SANDUSKY, OH – Despite a tough weekend at the home of “Ohio’s Finest Racing” that left Chris Andrews and Chris Andrews Racing without a top-ten finish against the All Star Circuit of Champions, the Sandusky, Ohio-based open wheel program is ready to hit the reset button, already aiming focus on an Attica/Fremont Championship Series (AFCS) doubleheader on Friday and Saturday, September 8-9.

As the name suggests, the AFCS double will take Andrews to Attica Raceway Park on Friday and Fremont Speedway on Saturday, with the latter awarding a $5,000 payday.

Attica’s weekend opener will award a $4,000 top prize.

As noted, Andrews, a former two-time Attica Raceway Park track champion, will venture into his AFCS slate fresh off of a full weekend campaign with the All Star Circuit of Champions, highlighting Attica’s annual Attica Ambush with a 23rd-place score in Friday’s $6,000-to-win opener. Adding some luster to his weekend stat card, Andrews’ Friday night feature appearance was number 100 against the Tony Stewart-owned organization.

“Not the weekend we wanted at Attica. But, ready to shake it off and move forward,” Andrews, ace of the Ohio Truck Sales, Fleet Capital, Cintas, Ohio Peterbilt, Kenworth of Cleveland, Toledo Spring, NAPA Fremont Auto Parts, Burdue Insurance, TruckParts4U.com, No. 15C sprint car, stated. “Hats off to this team. We’ve had a lot thrown at us this year, but they keep their heads held high. That hard work will pay off soon.”
