Story By: KENNY SHUPP / WOODHULL RACEWAY – WOODHULL, NY – A tradition that began decades ago will once again be back at the 2024 Woodhull Raceway Arnot Mall Car Show in Big Flats, NY presented by Swarthout Recycling of Beaver Dams.
“The Annual Tire Changing Competition is one of the highlights of the weekend for our competitors and fans, stated Woodhull Raceway owners, Terry and Nikki Brewer. We put a lot of buzz into the event which always produces many surprises and plenty of fun. It is a must attend event that will go off on Saturday afternoon.”
This year’s Tire Changing Competition will be sponsored by Excite Motorsports NY of Vestal, and they will be providing trophies for the top finishing teams.

As part of this year’s Swarthout Recycling Woodhull Raceway Arnot Mall Car Show, Excite Motorsports NY will have representatives on hand as well as a display area.
Trophies will be provided for the top finishing 3-man crew that turns in the quickest time changing the right rear tire on one of the machines located in the Arnot Mall’s Center Court.
In addition, two special trophies will go out to a pair of youngsters that compete in the Tire Changing Competition.
“We want to get more youngsters involved in the competition and by offering some hardware it provides incentive for the upcoming generation to participate.” That statement once again from the Brewer’s who will begin their fifth season as owners and promoters of the popular Steuben County NY oval.
All trophies will be professionally constructed by Southern Tier Customs of Woodhull, NY which is one of the main sponsors of the track in 2024.
This year’s Swarthout Recycling sponsored Woodhull Raceway Arnot Mall Car Show is rapidly approaching and teams are encouraged not to delay in registering their cars for the event which is set for March 23 and 24, 2024 at the Big Flats, NY facility with cars rolling in on Friday night March 22.
Teams that wish to register for the Excite Motorsports NY Tire Changing Competition can do so throughout the day on Saturday, March 23 at the Woodhull Raceway Display area which will be Center Court.
The exact time of the Tire Changing Competition will be posted on Facebook as the date draws closer.
Cars that are registered are required to have a representative of the team in attendance at the pre-roll-in on Friday evening at Center Court where they will receive their designated spot and what door of entry.
