Story By: KENNY SHUPP / WOODHULL RACEWAY – WOODHULL, NY – 2024 will mark the fifth consecutive year that track owners, Terry and Niki Brewer have been promoting the Woodhull Raceway and keeping with tradition they will swing the gates for the season opener on Saturday, April 20, 2024 with a Regular Super 7 Show.
The Mighty Insinger Performance Modifieds will headline the lid lifter along with the Hometown Excavation sponsored 602 Crate Sportsman and the Empire Crushing LLC RUSH Crate Late Models.
Also, in action it will be the Southern Tier Customs Street Stocks, the Sawyers Camper and RV Service and Repair Hobby Stocks along with the Big Jim’s Wicked Tee’s Quad-C Mini Stocks and the Woodhull Warrior Youth Division.
“We are pleased to welcome Hometown Excavation, Empire Crushing LLC and Sawyers Camper and RV Service onboard as new class sponsors for the upcoming year, stated the Brewer’s. They will join Insinger Performance, Southern Tier Customs and Wicked Tee’s who have been long time class sponsors at the track.”
As they have in the past, Alfred State College will market the Season Opening April 20 event and representatives of ASC will be at the track enjoying the competition and handing out hardware to all the class feature winners.
Alfred State College is located approximately 35 miles from Woodhull in the small community of Alfred, New York which is safely nestled in the foothills of beautiful Allegany County.
Know for their extensive list of academic curriculum’s, ASC is best known for their Motorsports Program where students attain extensive training which will lead them to full time careers in all areas of racing including NASCAR, INDY CAR, NHRA, ISMA as well as other blacktop and dirt organizations such as DIRTcar Modifieds, Late Models and 410 Sprint Cars, Lucas Oil Late Model and 410 Sprints along with the upstart High Limit Sprint Car Series.
ASC also offers trade school training in such areas as Electrical, Building Trades, HVAC and R along with Culinary and Heavy Equipment where graduating students can walk right into high paying professions or start their own businesses.
Nursing, Engineering, Animal Husbandry and over 80 additional majors are also available.
Gate for the April 20th Alfred State College lid lifter at the Woodhull Raceway will find the Pit area opening at 3:30 pm with Main Grandstands following at 4:30 PM.
The first green rag of the night waves at 6:30 PM.
The Woodhull Raceway offers an Early Bird Special for Adults who clock in between 4:30 and 5:30.
There are other discounts in place for Kids 8-12 with a paid adult along with Seniors +62.
