Woodhull Raceway Pulls Plug On August 12th, 2023 Racing Program

Story By: KENNY SHUPP / WOODHULL RACEWAY – WOODHULL, NY – With impending heavy rain, thunderstorms and even the threat of tornados across the region, representatives of the Woodhull Raceway made the decision to cancel the Saturday, August 12, 2023 program.

“With the threat of some real heavy weather coming later this afternoon and evening we decided to cancel early and save any unnecessary travel for our racers, fans and employees. We made it through a couple early day light showers, but the worst is yet to come according to all our weather outlets so by pulling it now, saves everyone money and time.” That according to Woodhull Raceway owners, Terry and Niki Brewer.

This makes the second official rainout in 2023 with the first coming on July 29.

Early in April a pair of season-opening events were lost to saturated grounds and cold temperatures.

Up next at Woodhull will be the CRSA 305 Sprints along with a $2,000 to win special event for the Doug Gross Construction RUSH Crate Late Models, all in addition to a Regular Weekly Program with all Divisions.

The night will be sponsored by Pepsi and Maple City Dodge.

If there is to be a make up for the NY6A 600 Micro Sprints which were on the August 12 card, it will be made public at the time of rescheduling.

Dave’s Custom Logging, who was the nightly sponsor of the August 12 show will be invited back at a later date.
