Woodhull Raceway Prepares For June 22nd Race Of Remembrance Night

Story By: KENNY SHUPP / WOODHULL RACEWAY – WOODHULL, NY – An event that has been well received at the Woodhull Raceway over the past several years is the Annual Race of Remembrance Night.

“When we purchased the track five years ago the schedule was littered with dedicated events named in memory of numerous employees, drivers and fans that had been a part of the track throughout its history. Every year we lose a few more and there are only so many nights of racing each season to honor these folks, so the Race of Remembrance Night brings the memory of all our lost greats together for one huge night. It has worked out extremely well as those that wish to do so can purchase signs in memory of their loved ones that have passed, and they are all proudly display for everyone to see.” That was according to Woodhull Raceway owner, Terry and Niki Brewer.

It is hard to believe but the Historic Steuben County Speedway is at the Mid-Season mark of the 2024 season and with that the track will be doubling the points in all weekly classes plus each qualifying heat race winner picks up a nifty $200 for their efforts all in memory of those we have lost.

The Super 7 Show will include the popular Insinger Performance Modifieds, Hometown Excavation 602 Crate Sportsman, Empire Crushing RUSH Crate Late Models along with the Southern Tier Customs Street Stocks.

Also, on the card it will be a pair of Big Jim’s Wicked Tee’s sponsored classes including the Quad C Mini Stocks along with the Youth Warrior Divisions.

Rounding out the night of competition it will be the fastest growing division at Woodhull, The Sawyer’s RV and Camper Service and Repair Hobby Stock Division.

Pit gates now open at 4:00 pm with Main Grandstand gates swinging at 4:30 pm for each race event.

Woodhull offers an Early Bird Special knocking $1 for the first hour the main grandstands are open.

Other specials include discounts for Seniors (+62) and kids (8-12 with a paid adult) Children 7 and under are free.
