Greg Wilson Scores Back-To-Back Top-Fives In USCS Tennessee Doubleheader

Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / GREG WILSON RACING – BENTON RIDGE, OH – With weather forecasts causing confusion in his home state of Ohio, Greg Wilson and Greg Wilson Racing decided to pack up and hit the road, ultimately venturing south to the Volunteer State where the Benton Ridge native battled the USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour in a two-day sweep through Tennessee.

Dubbed the Tennessee Tangle, Wilson joined the USCS 360 sprint cars at Lexington 104 Speedway in Lexington, Tennessee, and Thunderhill Raceway in Summertown, Tennessee, on Friday and Saturday, June 23-24, capping the two-day visit with not only a pair of top-five finishes, but a podium to boot, that being a third-place performance at Thunderhill Raceway on Saturday evening. A heat race victory propelled Wilson to the program’s dash, which set the eventual A-Main lineup.

Wilson, ace of the Hercules Tires, DNC Hydraulics, Ohio Logistics Warehousing and Transportation, SandRidge Customs, Banshee Graphics, CJMM, No. W20 sprint car, kicked off the weekend double with a fourth-place run at Lexington 104 Speedway, fading one position after starting third on the A-Main grid.

“A respectable weekend for our team. The decision to head south certainly paid off,” Wilson explained. “We enjoy racing with USCS. It’s a competitive group with a lot of history and it was fun joining them in Tennessee. I’m sure we’ll have the opportunity to race with them again in the future.”
