Brock Zearfoss Finds Top-Ten In Jackson Nationals Prelim; River Cities & Red River Valley Next

Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / BROCK ZEARFOSS RACING – JONESTOWN, PA – Brock Zearfoss and Brock Zearfoss Racing put together a sound performance in Jackson Motorplex’ 45th Annual Jackson Nationals on August 17-19, not only qualifying for the $25,000-to-win main event on Saturday night, but ultimately highlighting the week with a ninth-place run during preliminary competition on Friday, August 18.

The Jonestown, Pennsylvania, native and former Outlaw winner started sixth on the A-Main grid, maintaining his place within the frontrunners to knock out his sixth top-ten result of the season. The “Jonestown Jet” remains ninth in the overall World of Outlaws championship standings.

“It’s been a very competitive month, but that’s what it’s all about,” Zearfoss explained. “The Jackson Nationals ranks right there at the top with some of our other crown jewel events. It’s a race everyone wants to win, so to have the opportunity to start tenth is pretty special. I wish we could have ended a little further up in the running order, but this is a good momentum kicker for our upcoming trek through North Dakota.”

Zearfoss, ace of the Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill, Heavy Equipment, Loaders & Parts Inc., C&D Rigging Inc., Klick Lewis Cars, J.P. Adamsky Trucking, Milton Hershey School, A. Lane Living, No. 3Z sprint car, finished 14th just one night prior on Thursday, August 17, racing on to finish 16th in the weekend finale on Saturday, August 19; he started tenth.

First up is the Gerdau presents the 2nd Leg of the Northern Tour at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, North Dakota, on Friday, August 25. The next brings the Gerdau presents the Duel in the Dakotas at Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo, North Dakota, on Saturday, August 26.
