Chris Andrews Rallies At Attica; Fremont doubleheader Coming Up Next

Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / CHRIS ANDREWS RACING – SANDUSKY, OH – Despite a tough Saturday night that led to a not-so-stellar 19th-place score at Fremont Speedway, Sandusky’s own Chris Andrews and Chris Andrews Racing opened their weekend campaign with another top-notch result at Attica Raceway Park, this time rallying from mid-pack to finish inside the top-ten.

The top-ten score, finishing sixth officially, was Andrews’ second consecutive at the home of “Ohio’s Finest Racing,” concluding the July 21 program in the runner-up spot.

Andrews, ace of the Ohio Truck Sales/Fleet Capital No. 15C sprint car, started 12th on Attica’s Attica/Fremont Championship Series (AFCS) A-Main grid, kicking off the $4,000-to-win program with the fourth-fastest time during qualifying time trials, continuing on to finish fourth during his respective heat race.

In total, Andrews owns six top-ten finishes in 2023, three of which occurring within the top-five.

“We obviously wanted a little better result at Fremont, but to keep some positive momentum rolling at Attica is important,” Andrews said. “It’s been an up and down year, but I’m happy with our progress. Northwest Ohio is a tough place to race, and if you’re a little off, it can make for a long night. We’re finally in a position where we can unload with confidence.”
